Inktober 2017 Brush News

Great news ahead for all ink brush friends! :) In addition to the ROSSBOB wet paint brush series, I’ve been working on some cool new ink brushes for Procreate 4. With the latest MegaPack update you already got the new BIG IN JAPAN ink and paint brushes, which can be used with normal, glaze or wet brush render mode (3 buttons in the “dynamics” tab of the new brush menu). The first image shows demo strokes in “wet paint” mode.

Inktober 2017: Georg’s MEGA INK BRUSH

As my personal Inktober challenge, I’m creating the INKTOBER 2017 MEGA INKER brush using the amazing new Procreate 4 features! I decided to go for the look and feel of a Pentel or Tombow brush pen in normal mode, which produces “happy accidents” and nicely feathered brush strokes depending on the amount of pen pressure you apply. The ink brush can be turned into a rough marker brush with soft gradients simply by switching to “glaze” mode. You can use pen tilt in any brush mode to add a rough paper texture to your strokes. 

I’m still trying out different brush tips, but maybe I’ll publish one version per week so you can vote for your personal favorite? Please let me know what you think :)
