Free Procreate MEGAPACK Update (Version 8.0)

[Free update/new set] Just added more than 40 brand new brushes and 35 cool color swatches as free Megapack, Paint Bundle and Blender Set updates.

Here’s a time lapse video of a quick Art Lozzi style/cartoon background study I did with the new brushes using the Hanna Barbera Cartoon swatches.

Happy Blending :)

The first free update in 2017 includes my Procreate Blender Set with 24 new painting and blending brushes. Here’s how to use them:

  • The color runs out at the end of each brush stroke. To control the amount of color applied with each stroke, adjust the color load in the “Dynamics” tab of the brush.
  • Keep on painting without lifting your stylus/finger to blend with other colors/strokes. With each new stroke the brush is loaded with color again.
  • Use the brushes as smudge tool if don’t want to apply additional color. Use them as eraser to define forms and add interesting details while keeping a consistent look and feel.
  • Play with size and opacity to make your painting look natural and interesting.
  • If you have a pressure/tilt stylus adjust the respective brush settings to fit your personal preferences and painting style.
  • Most of the brushes are velocity sensitive to support dynamic strokes and finger painting.
  • Place a 50% gray texture layer (paper, canvas etc.) above of your painting layers. Set blending mode to “Overlay”, maybe adjust brightness to find the right amount of texture you like to add to your underlying artwork.

As with every update I’ll also add 10 new brushes to my free Procreate brush sets next week. If there’s a certain brush/pattern (aside from this fractal brush) you like to get as a freebie, just let me know.

Hope you like the new brushes and find them useful. Thanks again for your overwhelming feedback, kind support and last but not least for your amazing sample drawings!

Happy painting :)
